Lichen was born out of a need to improve the visual storytelling capacity of grassroots organizations and Indigenous communities in BC. When you share your content with Lichen, it becomes accessible to organizations and communities in BC who are directly engaged with the preservation and stewardship of their local ecosystems.
Collaborate
Collaborate with our member organizations and Indigenous communities in storytelling campaigns. Connect with other like-minded photographers, videographers, and content creators and expand your professional network.
You'll be given a Lichen Portfolio on our site, and the opportunity to bid on job opportunities.
Explore
Learn about opportunities to join Lichen on our expeditions, and visit remote locations in British Columbia. Connect with other like-minded creatives by gaining exclusive access to exciting local and remote projects.
Do you have photos of BC sitting on hard drives?
- We can issue you a tax-reciept for donated photos.
- Your photos will only be used by our member organizations for their internal use.
- When possible, we will work to help you get paid directly for any usage in media outlets or for advertising.
- Most importantly, your photos will help make a difference.
