The Lichen Project
Lichen is a strategic collective impact effort that aims to improve the conservation movements and allied Indigenous Nation's visual storytelling capacity. The core of Lichen is a visual content library that gives collaborating groups and communities access to thousands of high quality photos made and sourced specifically for them.
make the content you need
Just as lichen is a symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae, this project will connect content creators with campaign organizations and Indigenous communities to tell compelling stories about BC, its land, waters and people. We make several trips a year into hard-to-reach locations to create specific content requested by our member organizations and allied communities.
Lichen Members
Lichen members have access to thousands of high quality, curated, searchable images and the ability to request specific images that we will source if possible; if there is enough demand, we could launch a content expedition to fill gaps in our library. Each photo has clear usage and credit information.
If your organization is feeling a gap in visual storytelling capacity, we can help.
